During December and January in the northern part of the world the days grow increasingly shorter as the earth's axis tilts away from the sun. This means that many people spend their daylight hours at work in front of a computer, and the lack of fresh air and sunlight can have a negative effect on both physical and mental well-being. Christmas may be the most wonderful time of the year in the songs and movies, but in real life many people struggle with depression and anxiety during the darkest months of the year.
