Let’s say you inquire your child to do a simple task favor feed the dog. The next object you understand, you listen “Why do I all must feed the dog?”
Or maybe you hear sarcasm and a smart-alecky intonation of voice while your child says, “You don’t actually expect me to do that?”
Makes you long for the days when kid were discerned, yet no heard, right?
Welcome to the earth of back talk,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], your child’s path of expressing variance with what you’re requesting.
There can be a digit of reasons for back talk. Your child may be testing your parental administration. Perhaps your child sees this as an issue of private personality? Maybe they’re mocking something they heard on television? Maybe they’re simply exerting growing independence? Or maybe they simply don’t feel like doing what you’ve asked!

If you are, you may receive back talk in return.
Here are Some Tips to Curb Back Talk:
1. Call a spade a spade. “That’s backtalk and it’s not acceptable. I will reply you when you’ve changed your tone…”
2. “Hmmmm… That sounded disrespectful. Let’s try it repeatedly.”
3. Go for the consciousness. “You sound annoyed. What’s up?”
4. Try problem solving. “We appear to be having a problem here. How can we solve…. so we can migrate on?
5. Praise respectful communication.
6. Never give in to requests made in a disrespectful way.
7. Stay calm yourself and model how you ambition to be talked to.
8. Point out the efficacy that his/her words have on you or the additional person. “It hurts me to hear you say that to me. Please try it again.”
9. Enforce a consequence if s/he can’t rotate the behavior approximately later a respectful request from you.
Pick one or 2 of these strategies and use them consistently. Note that it may take a month or longer to turn this behavior around, so be patient. You’ll be pleased that you did!
