Have the guests make fabric snowflakes by folding squares of fabric and cutting chunks out with scissors to be left at the table. After making their snowflake, have them sign their piece of art and place it in a basket. Later, the couple can sew the snowflakes onto a blanket for a memorable keepsake to use in the coming winters as a reminder of the winter season they were married in.
For beach weddings, have the guests sign a giant blow-up beach ball in your wedding colors. After making sure that each guest has signed it, throw the beach ball onto the dance floor to attach even more memories to it.
Leave out a bunch of polished river rocks with silver and black sharpies for the guests to sign. They can then place them in a nearby vase filled with water and some floating flowers. This can later be used as a centerpiece as well.
Have a small tree placed in the corner of a room with a table full of plastic ornaments. These can be any size, shape, and color. Leave out various sharpies for your guests to sign the ornaments then hang them on the tree. Make sure to put some lights on the tree to bring out the colors of the ornaments!
When planning a wedding, one of the most important parts is deciding who you want to have with you on your big day. The family and friends that you invite are more than just seat-fillers, they're the people you love. So why have them sign a boring guest book that you probably won't read five years later? Many couples are starting to take the tradition of a "guest sign in" to a whole new level that not only fits their particular wedding themes [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but also is an expression of the couple. Here are a couple ideas to choose from by season:

To double both as a guest book and a favor [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], leave colored sharpies on a table along with small gourds and mini-pumpkins as well as an old Polaroid instant camera. Have your guests each color a gourd or pumpkin of their choice and take a Polaroid of their work. They can then sign the picture and leave it in a basket for you to later put into a guest book scrapbook.
In case of a wet wedding, brides will often get matching parasols for themselves as well as their bridesmaid, groom, and groomsmen. If this is the case, get one extra parasol and have the guests sign it. This can easily be placed as a centerpiece to a room later, or even used on future rainy days.
If you can afford it, rent a photo booth and set it near the entrance to your reception. Have your guests jump into the booth and make a few fun poses. Most of these machines will also print out at least two copies, so the guests can take one and leave the other for a scrapbook that you can later make.

Fall weddings
Going with a similar idea as the winter tree wedding [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], have the guest sign multi-colored plastic bird ornaments and hang them on a tree made of dogwood or willow branches. These are especially good for the spring "lovebird" themed weddings.
"Make a Wish" and "Take a Wish" jars are another idea that seems to be catching on. Leave two jars at a table with small slips of paper and pens for the g
If you're having an outdoor wedding, have the guests pick out a leaf from the surrounding foliage. They can then sign and leave advice in a more traditional guest book and tape the leaf next to their names. Let them know to feel free to draw or write on the leaf as well. You can press the leaves and keep them to look through on rainy days.
