v class="googleright">One of the most promoted methods of successfully building a business online is through Affiliate Marketing, where, by becoming an Affiliate [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you are able to make commissions from selling other peoples' products without having a website, building a list or worrying about product delivery or refunds. Sounds like a very viable, easy option for building your business, right?
It could be - but don't just rush in. Like every business opportunity or business model, this one needs to be thoroughly investigated before you make the decision on whether it is truly a fit for you.
First of all [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], let us make sure that we understand what Affiliate Marketing is all about. According to Wikipedia, "Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts." Therefore, as an affiliate, you get paid for RESULTS, results that are often demonstrated when individuals visit a site based on your recommendation and complete a pre-defined transaction - buying a product, signing up for a promotion or joining any other kind of list.
Now this form of marketing should not seem foreign to you. In fact, if you think about it, you're most probably involved in a form of "affiliate marketing" right now, every day. Except that you most probably don't get paid for your efforts.
For example, if you visited a restaurant and had a fantastic meal and an incredible experience, you wouldn't hesitate to share that restaurant's name with your friends and family, would you? What if they provided you with a coupon for friends and family, wouldn't that help "seal the deal"? I'm sure it would.
What about sharing information on a great movie that you saw last week? Would you be willing to recommend the cinema if they provided you with a coupon for free popcorn to give to your friends? I'm sure you would.
As far as I am concerned, both of these "referral marketing techniques" could easily be regarded as "affiliate marketing" if the merchants provided your with a referral "reward" for your efforts.
As an Affiliate, you essentially become the Merchant's promotion partner. You write the ads (with terms agreed to by the merchant), you place the ads [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and you drive traffic to the sites that you believe offer value to your visitors.
The Merchants then track all completed transactions and reward you for your promotional expertise by sending you a check ranging from 25% to sometimes 75% of the transaction value.
Why would Merchants pay you so much? They are now passive receivers in this whole process and can afford to transfer a huge percentage of their advertising budget to you. They win - because they only pay for results. You win, because you can now make a viable income from your promotions of beneficial products and services.
Great concept? Yes! Easy to achieve? Not without careful planning and understanding of the industry.
To be a successful Affiliate Marketer, you need to make sure that:
1. You have a good understanding of the market you are entering and its potential for profit
2. You need to understand all forms of traffic generation and ensure that you do not spend mo
