Rich in natural resources, such as gold, bauxite, timber, phosphates and iron ore, it is a world economic power with a diversified economic base, and was one of the first nations to emerge from the worldwide downturn of 2008 and 2009.
While football is not listed as one of Brazils biggest exports, the peoples love of the game is a great contributor to its international relations. Its people have the type of passion which builds bridges, and that, from a business point of view, is a real benefit to its international trade.
After all, starting a conversation with a Brazilian about football is almost certain to get an enthusiastic response, and that can open many doors when it comes to doing business.
