ONION CHUTNEYIngredients1 tbsp vegetable oil1 tbsp dark mustard seeds8 whole cloves6 black peppercorns1 bay leaf1 tsp dry mustard½ tsp turmeric and salt1 tsp ground ginger1 great yellow onion½ glass pearly vinegar1/3 cup sugarMethodHeat fuel over a large pan and fry the mustard seeds, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, dry mustard, turmeric, ginger and salt until the seeds popup, 1 minute.Reduce heat and cook onion, stirring frequently, until soft, around 10 minutes.Add the vinegar and sugar, send to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer covered for 5 minutes.Remove stopper and simmer until depressed a bit, dissimilar 5 minutes. Cool.
