VIZ Media, a North American licensor and distributor of Japanese anime and manga, has authorized the first 52 episodes of the supernatural anime Kekkaishi, based off the manga published in Shonen Sunday by Yellow Tanabe. Kelkaishi will begin airing on Adult Swim [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the mature lineup on the Cartoon Network, on May 29th. The anime is currently available on VIZ Media's VIZ Anime streaming movie website in Japanese with English subtitles.
The main symbol of the anime, Yoshimori Sumimura is in junior tall school by Karasumori Academy and a member of the Kekkaishi clan. At night he must follow his clan's traditions and fight as the 22nd Kekkaishi in the Sumimura clan.
