With his public school boy accent, he lands a stint doing voice over work forBig Brother Nigeria where viewers are later introduced to Big Brother Nigeria winner Gideon Okeke. Despite his western past [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Walter appeared to be coping rather well and very inclined with the local culture. His sister was no pushover either [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as the cameras captured her switching from her normally demure attitude to a fiery no nonsense madam when she ridiculed a man for attempting to scheme his way into her pocket by demanding three thousand naira - just for assisting her driver in tolling his broken down car. “You have to come across aggressive so they don’t think you’re a walk over” She told the film crew, after she had calmed down.
Typically the BBC did not refrain from drawing focus on the down sides of life in a developing country. Electricity was a problem and as Walter put it “Without the gen (generator) your dead” This however did not stop Walter landing more production jobs that was ever possible for him in London

He then lands his next gig which was to produce and direct a new music video for upcoming Nigerian musician Dr Sid. He also gains work on the Apprentice Africa
Walter is the great grandson of King Jaja, a 19th century slave who became a legendary King only to be then kidnapped by the British. The New kings of Nigeria draws attention to the wave of elite young Nigerians heading to an unlikely part of the world to search for new opportunities. Lagos is Nigeria’s former capital and is quickly becoming a reservoir of talent. As an air conditioning sales man, Walter was hardly setting the world on fire in London, so heading to his birth place to take advantage of the thriving new entertainment industry seemed like an obvious choice. He moves in with his elder sister and quickly starts work in Nigeria’s fastest growing city.
The connection of his ancestor to the documentary became more and more questionable as it drew to an end; however throughout the film, viewers are told metaphoric stories about King Jaja through an inspiring teacher teaching a primary school class. The Documentary also failed to give enough insight into Walter’s future plans, more importantly the viewer is left wondering whether or not Walter plans to remain in Nigeria indefinitely. The new Kings of Nigeria was slightly spared of the usual patronising spin the BBC tends to use in documentaries which focus on life in the third world.
