Good posture is something that we take for granted and most of us do not even know what it is or what it looks like, but it is important for our health and the way we look and feel. No matter how well you are dressed and present yourself it is very difficult to look attractive with rounded shoulders, sunken chest, jutting chin and protruding belly.
Our modern inactive and sedentary lifestyles have a lot to answer for with the loss of the supportive tone of our muscular system when we hardly get to use it anymore. Most of us spend up to 80 percent of our day seated and as our strength evaporates we take on an aged look as our body droops and our shoulders hunch forward.

The bottom line: Just 2-3 sessions each week of your strength training program will keep the necessary strength in all of the body's muscles ensuring that leg, hip and back bones are held in place where they belong.
One of the many benefits of proper muscle strengthening exercise is that you will have extra energy as when poor posture is improved muscles can work more efficiently using less energy so you will have more to enjoy what life has to offer.
