Correspondences of the Fire Element
Fire energy, found in these meridians, is warming and calming to the mind and heart. Insomnia, often rooted in deep emotional hurt or disturbance, can be often traced back to disturbance of the spirit at the level of the Heart meridian.
Triple Burner Meridian - the Heating Engineer is charged with regulating the distribution of warmth to the three areas of the torso and the organs therein. It also ensures an even spread of emotional warmth throughout the mind,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], body and spirit.
The Fire Personality
In balance, the Fire personality is a high achiever, a party animal who loves to network and feeds on laughter and love. Out of balance this can become an addiction to partying and to the emotion of joy. The Fire Element is unusual in that it is made up of of 4 meridians: Heart, Small Intestine, Triple Burner and Pericardium (Circulation-Sex). They have the function in the energy system of regulating relationships, warmth and emotional flow and governing the fundamental balance of the body and mind.
The Small Intestine Meridian- The Sorter is often regarded as the official that protects the heart, being its paired Yang organ. The small intestine, charged with sorting the pure from the impure,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is able to act as a screen for negativity that could affect the Heart meridian.
The Pericardium (Circulation-Sex) Meridian is like the palace guard, surrounding the heart and small intestine officials, and taking the worst of the emotional shocks so that they can't affect the sensitive heart. This meridian governs relationships, security and boundary issues and internal sexual secretions such as womens' monthly cycle.
The emotional correspondence of Fire is joy or vulnerability . The Fire person is often the comic or clown and many comedians and actors are Fire element since they crave the adulation of an audience to help them feel loved and valued. The out of balance Fire personality may "blow hot and cold".
The color correspondence is red (or lack of red). It is often to be seen as a reddish complexion best observed in good daylight. Lack of red is a dingy grey pallor that is rarely seen.
The odor of Fire element is scorched. A sweetish burnt smell that is best observed by smelling an article of clothing that has been worn for a day.
