The End of the Truce
Meanwhile Hellboy and Liz are having a few relationship problems, and he longs to be known to the wider world. During a mission to investigate the wake of the tooth fairy attack at the auction Hellboy allows himself to be revealed to the world and Abe discovers that Liz is pregnant. In an attempt to control Hellboy, Tom Manning (Jeffrey Tambor reprising his role from Hellboy) sends the ectoplasmic medium Johann Krauss (Actors John Alexander and James Dodd wore the suit but Seth MacFarlane provided the voice) to take charge.
Hellboy 2 the Golden Army is the sequel to Hellboy and stars Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones all reprising their roles as Hellboy, Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien respectively. In Hellboy Abe’s voice was dubbed by David Hyde Pearce whereas in Hellboy 2 Doug Jones himself provides the character’s voice.
On Christmas Eve 1955 Professor Broom (John Hurt reprising his role from Hellboy) tells his young son Hellboy about an ancient war that took place between man and magical forces due to man’s greed. After years of battle and defeat, the master of the goblin blacksmiths offered to create an indestructible golden army for King Balor (Roy Dotrice). Under the advice of his son Prince Nuada (Luke Gross) Balor had the army built and unleashes it upon the humans. The army devastated the humans’ forces so mercilessly that Balor sought a truce in which the humans could have the cities and the magical forces could keep their forests. Nuada did not agree to the truce and disappeared into exile [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the golden crown which controlled the army was separated into three pieces so that the Golden Army could never be used again.
In the present Nuada returns from his exile and declares war on humans. He discovers the first piece of the crown at an auction unleashing hundreds of tooth fairies [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and soon afterwards murders his father in order to possess the second piece of the crown. His twin sister Nuala (Anna Walton) escapes with the final piece.
Imaginative Sequel to fun Original
The main characters from the previous film all return with the acceptation of John Myers who was played by Rupert Evans. Myers is mentioned during the film [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but he is not seen.
After rescuing Nuala from a servant of her brother Hellboy and co attempt to keep Nuada from obtaining the final piece of the crown and awakening the Golden Army.
