Project Breakout's Beginnings
The latest competition is the Master of the Macabre Short Film Competition which gave neutral filmmakers the chance to show off their skills a la` Alfred Hitchcock by submitting their scariest short films which were then balloted on newspaper by guests to the site. Those that made it into the last circular now have several weeks in which to put together one all current film to show for the last competition beginning
Project Breakout was started by Gregory Sukornyk in 2006 and has since invested some tall silhouette talent apt the movie manufacture since. Past antagonists of the community have gone above to go with Oscar Award Winners favor David Parfitt and have even been given the homework of covering the Democratic and Republican National Conventions on behalf of the site.
Project Breakouts primary focus is on the film industry but it also has categories for Broadcasting [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Music and Fitness which entire have their own competitions associated with them. Each section likewise functions as its own starting page so users can log into whatever segment they ambition in a hurry instead of having to go to the cardinal page each time.
The system of competing and triumphing by community votes and viral movie is intended to make this site the medley of YouTube and American Idol and it is what the sites founders hope will make it unique as well as beneficial to the independent filmmaking community at great.

Not only is Project Breakout the latest in a long line of social networking medium sites but it is the premier to focus on giving its participants their big wreck when holding competitions focusing on definite places of amuse to the film-going public.
In a 2008 interview on the sites Music section DJ Irie sums up the focus of the site by saying Before [Project Breakout] it was a commerce model and a neatness and the names creature everything… Now with the network everyones in A&R…its a class playing field so when you have a site like Project Breakout it truly gathers all this large talent together and really showcases it. Its a really magnificent site for the industry and for everybody contained.
