Shandong is endowed with advantages to develop service outsourcing industry. Companies should grasp opportunities to contract international offshore service outsourcing, said Cai Limin, Vice Governor of Shandong.
The Province now has 90-odd service outsourcing companies. An industrial pattern led by Qilu Software Park and co-supported by software parks in Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai and Jining has taken shape. Big names such as Microsoft, NTTDATA, NEC and Hitachi have contracted service outsourcing business to Jinan-based contractors or have launched service outsourcing business in Jinan. Jinan was named "The Base City of Service Outsourcing in China" at the end of 2006.
A good number of leading hi-tech companies are based in Shandong. Eight of them are on the list of Top 100 China Software companies, including Haier, Hisense, Langchao and CVIC Software. Qilu Software Park and Qingdao Software Park are certified as "Pilot Software Export Base for the United States and the European Union". The Information Super Highway system makes Shandong one of the best informatized areas in China. |
