ement Jaxx is a critically acclaimed UK House duo that includes Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. They had tasted their first taste of success during the late nineties time period. Basement Jaxx had begun their career in Brixton, South London in the year 1994 Jordan Flights 45 High, where they had had several regular club nights at the club named Rooty. Tis had also been the namesake of their second artist album.
Five years later that is in the year 1999 Jordan Alpha 1, the group had managed to release their first full length album that had been titled Remedy. This album had gained wide acclaim. The aforementioned album, Remedy, had included the single titled "Red Alert", tat had been featured in the film named Bend It Like Beckham and also in several commercials which had included several commercials that had been run on Nickelodeon and Coca-Cola. Some of the other singles that had been a part of this album had been titled "Jump N' Shout", "Bingo Bango" and "Rendez Vu". The later remains to date, Basement Jaxx's highest UK chart entry. It had secured them a place on the number of fourth spot.
Basement Jaxx have also released Jaxx Unreleased, which is a compilation of the b-sides of their records and also remixes along with some assorted material. This album was released in the year 1999.
After this compilation, their next full length album had been released in the year 2001. this had been titled Rooty and had comprised of some singles such as "Romeo", "Jus 1 Kiss", "Where's Your Head At?" Air Jordan Retro 11, the popular "Do Your Thing" and last but not the least "Get Me Off". The album opener for this album had been the track titled Romeo. The music video for this album had been a parody of the popular Bollywood film style. Another single titled "Where's Your Head At?" had managed to become a huge international hit in the year 2002. This had been mostly owing to its inclusion on the soundtrack of the popular movie Tomb Raider.
This song is without doubt the best known song that has ever been given by Basement Jaxx. The video for the aforementioned song had been praised by Mixmag as being the best dance music video that has ever been made. Xxtra Cutz had been released not long after their second album Rooty. This album had also been a compilation of some b-side songs from his earlier albums.
In the year 2003 the Basement Jaxx's went on to release their third full length album. The album had been titled Kish Kash and had comprised of contributions from Lisa Kekaula, Me'shell Ndegeocello and grime MC Dizzee Rascal. Some other artists who had contributed to this album had been Totlyn Jackson, JC Chasez and last but not the least Siouxsie Sioux. In this music album, the tracks titled "Lucky Star", "Good Luck", and "Plug It In" had been released as singles.
