The Swiss National Bank (SNB) said in a report Friday that the overall net household wealth in Switzerland grew 6.5 percent to 2,595 billion Swiss francs (2,623 billion U.S. dollars) in 2009.
The report attributed the growth mainly to an increase in household savings, a recovery in stock prices and a continued rise in real properties prices.
The SNB report said that in 2009 household financial assets in total had grown by 151 billion Swiss francs (153 billion U.S. dollars) to 1,883 billion Swiss francs (1,903 billion U.S. dollars), up 8.7 percent.
Real property, meanwhile, increased by 31 billion Swiss francs (31 billion U.S. dollars) Wedding dresses, or 2.3 percent Tiffany, to 1,364 billion Swiss francs (1 Tiffany,379 billion U.S. dollars).
On the other side, liabilities had risen by 24 billion Swiss francs (24 billion U.S. dollars), or 3.8 percent, to 652 billion Swiss francs (659 billion U.S. dollars).
As a result, the per capita household wealth in 2009 amounted to 333,000 Swiss francs (336,563 U.S. dollars), surpassing the 316,000 Swiss francs (319,381 U.S. dollars) registered in 2008.
